A Walther LP 53 .177 Calibre Air Pistol in its original box with rare barrel weight fitted.
Serial number 021613 dates this particular pistols manufacture to 1957. Interestingly it very lightly stamped ‘BEA Corporation’ to the left side of the frame and was once the property of British European Airways, predecessor to British Airways, and was obviously one of their shooting club pistols.
It is in very good condition with only very minor wear to the finish and is complete with its original front and rear sights.
The pistol cocks and discharges with no issues.
It comes with its original box , 2 rear sight elements, 2 foresight beads, wooden cocking aid, cleaning rod, leaflet and a tin of pellets.
This pistol has its place in cinematic history featuring with James Bond (Sean Connery) in the advertising campaign for the film ‘From Russia with Love’.
An excellent example of this classic German manufactured Air Pistol
