A rare Pope Bros Air Pistol manufactured Boston in the USA circa 1874 -1878.
This particular example is in very good original condition.
The cast body of the pistol has its original black enamel finish which although chipped is mainly present.
The barrel is brass with a nickel finish and retains most of its finish.
The pistol cocks and does actually fire a pellet out although not very powerfully.
A very good example of this hard to find collectable Air Pistol.
