A Lincoln Jeffries ‘The Lincoln Air Pistol’ in .177 calibre serial number 231.
This is a very scarce Air Pistol and was manufactured by Lincoln Jeffries in Birmingham circa 1921 -1930 only approximately 1500 were manufactured and this particular example was very early in its production run.
The is in excellent condition and retains almost all of its original blueing the only wear being to exposed areas where it has been subject to more handling. The stampings detailing PROV PATt are located to the left of the barrel housing and BEST ENGLISH MAKE to the right with LINCOLN lightly stamped to the top of the housing. Most major parts are stamped with the serial number.
The pistol cocks and fires with no issues.
This is the best example of this particular type of pistol that we have seen.Air guns and Air Rifles manufactured after 1939 are restricted by the Violent Crime Reduction Act as regards sale and delivery and as such the transaction must be on a face to face basis.
